Meet Teresa

To some, she’s the Angel of Windeyer. To others, she’s simply Mother Teresa. And if you’re in the group chat, you already know her as one of the Wicked Witches of Windeyer.
Whatever you call her, Teresa is the kind of person who makes you feel at home before you’ve even put your bags down. She’ll feed you before you’re hungry, remember how you take your tea, and make sure everything is exactly right without ever making a fuss about it.
She’s been welcoming guests to Witancare and feeding her community for years — and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Property

A Place That Feels Like a Deep Breath

Tucked into a secluded valley outside Windeyer in the NSW Central West, Witancare is the kind of place that’s hard to describe until you’ve been there. The valley holds the quiet. The hills hold the light differently at every hour. And the property — with its farm animals, its serene dams, its fire pit and wide open skies — has a way of making city life feel very far away indeed.

Witancare is a working eco-farm and family retreat. It’s been a place of warmth, welcome, and very good food for years. Guests come once and start planning their return before they’ve even left.

What We Believe

Family First
Witancare was built around family. Everything we do — from the way we set up the homestead to the food we bake — is done with love and the belief that people deserve to be properly looked after.
Living Gently on the Land
We’re committed to caring for this beautiful piece of the Central West. We are completely off-grid, use rainwater, use what we have, and try to leave things better than we found them. Read our house rules to ensure you stay sustainably.
Community Matters
We’re proud to be part of the Windeyer community. Our catering is one way we give back — sharing what comes out of Teresa’s kitchen with the people around us.

Come and see for yourself

The best way to understand Witancare is to come and stay. We’d love to have you.
